Empathy Support and Practice
Empathy Cafés
Join our monthly Empathy Cafés to gain more understanding and effectiveness in offering or receiving empathy. The Cafés are a great way to start or continue your empathy practice.
- Learn more about Needs-Based Empathy
- Observe modeling of empathy in action
- Get insights to help you feel more comfortable in your practice
- Remain in the group or join a breakout for practice
Empathy Circles
As part of our continued focus on empathy as a critical component of the Compassion Course we are excited to announce even more opportunities for practice this year.
Unlike practice groups, Empathy Circles are specifically designed for focused empathy practice and development. This year, the course will offer a low-cost 6-week training program open to participants who want to host an Empathy Circle. The training will cover logistics, formats, exercises, best practices and will feature breakouts, presentations and Q&A sessions.
Additionally, Empathy Circle Training Program graduates will be listed in our Empathy Circle directory (in-person or online circles can be listed). Program graduates will also have access to the Empathy Circle Leadership Community through our dedicated Telegram group.
The first Empathy Circle Training will be offered in September. More details will be provided soon.
It can be challenging to develop and maintain a regular supply of empathy in our lives.
The course is committed to supporting participants in their empathy practice.
Empathy Buddy Network
Registered Compassion Course participants will have access to the empathy buddy network. Participants can add themselves and look through the network for empathy buddies.
More Empathy Training and Practice
Not only will we be offering our yearly Empathy 101 training, course participants are offered training and practice opportunities throughout the course so that folks everywhere can learn and practice empathy with the guidance of a course facilitator. We hope you join us.
Please note: Empathy Buddy Directory opens on August 31.
